There are no classes today so that gave me enough reason to slack off a bit yesterday. Thank you, CHED, for that much deserved rest day.
I was channel surfing a bit as I lay down on my parents' bed. I came across a familiar scene: another UAAP men's basketball game. I have not watched a single game this season and thought that maybe that was a good time to start watching. Luckily for me, it was a La Salle game. They were going against Adamson on an overtime match.
I think one reason I have not watched a single game this season is because I found out that majority - if not all - of the good basketball players of La Salle have already left the team. Thinking that the team doesn't stand a chance this year, I decided not to watch and save myself from the embarrassment of having to see the Archers fail every single time (so much for my school spirit).
Fortunately, La Salle won -- by a point! At least I'm safe from being sorry for my beloved school.
Next game was Ateneo against UP. Just seeing the familiar faces of Long, Al-Hussaini, and Salamat made me come up with an instantaneous prediction -- there's no use watching this game, Ateneo's getting a sure win on this. My thoughts were reaffirmed as I saw clips of UP's last game. Convinced of the outcome I pictured in my head, I decided to just switch channels and find a more interesting show.
When I opened my twitter account earlier though, I was surprised to see my friend's message:
UP beats ADMU by 10 points!!!!!Wow, ten points?! I couldn't believe my eyes. UP definitely proved me wrong.
I guess this could be a sign. Maybe it's not too late for La Salle, then? I sure do hope it isn't.
