Chris Brown's apology: What do you think?

This was posted four days ago (July 20) -- months after the peak of the whole Chris-Brown-beats-Rihanna incident.

I like Chris Brown's music, but what he did to Rihanna was just plain wrong. No matter how much of a pain a person is, he/she do not deserve to be treated so badly. Despite that fact, I don't see why Chris Brown should be kept from doing what he loves to do. He's a performer. I don't think a clean criminal record is part of his job description.

Anyway, I honestly don't know what to make of this. I see two theories for this:
1. He's genuinely sorry about the incident and he wants to start life anew; or
2. He has a new single coming out and needs some publicity

Which one is the truth, I have no idea. Just watch the video and decide for yourself.
