NOTHING.
I've been searching for a dance class since the summer break and until now, I haven't been very lucky. There are times that I was so close at getting one, but something always happens to ruin it.
Most of the times the problem is the studio location. There are so many good studios in QC, but I live way to far from them to enroll in a class. Another problem is that most dance studios are teaching hip hop and break dancing. I am NOT the gangsta with a funk kind of dancer. I prefer those with more fluid movements. The thing is, it's so hard to find a good jazz or contemporary dance class near Taft or an LRT/MRT station.
I've talked to a lot of dance studios through e-mail but I never found the right studio. Here were some of the studios I've actually talked to:
TEAM VIBE. I think the people here are nice, although we didn't really have a lot of mail exchanges. They were very accommodating. Problem was, they didn't have a studio that's easily accessible from where I'm staying. They offered to teach me, though, if I could find a studio... I don't think I can.
ACTS DANCE STUDIO. These people have so much patience. I emailed them so many times and they replied very nicely every single time! I would not mind enrolling in their studio since it was only an LRT-MRT ride from where I live. The problem was that their schedules are always in conflict with my schedule in school.
VOICES OF ANGELS DEVELOPMENT CENTER. I actually thought this is where I'll be enrolling. They're offering jazz and contemporary classes -- perfect for my needs! Problem was they weren't very good at talking with the people inquiring. They replied the first time I e-mailed asking when I was going to enroll. I replied asking them for more info before I enroll. They never replied again. I emailed them a few more times but to my dismay, still no reply. They really disappointed me. Seriously, why post your email account when you're not even using it to reply to possible students?
Oh well, I guess I'm not meant to dance this term. Next term, maybe?
So what has become of my dance class hunting?
